Score one environmentalist brownie point for fashion designer Max Azria. He recently decided to stop using real fur for his wide range of brands, including BCBG and Juicy Couture.
Starting with the Spring 2009, you won't see anymore fur in his collections.
It seems to me like it's becoming fashionable to be environmentally friendly these days. But I'm not complaining, the less animals killed in the name of fashion the better. Modern technology can create faux fur to replace it anyways, so why not?
"BCBG Max Azria Group is demonstrating its leadership in the fashion industry with this compassionate move to protect furbearing animals," said Kristin Leppert, director of The HSUS fur-free campaign.
